Conversation guide
Separate the day, time, and place
A plan is easier to confirm when both people know the day, the time, and the meeting spot. If your friend has already agreed on the day and asks about the time, answer that part first. Mention the day again near the end if you want to confirm the whole plan together.
Give a useful landmark
A place name alone can be vague when there are several entrances or branches. The entrance, the corner, or a spot next to a recognizable landmark is easier to find. For a mall or station, agree on a door or a nearby business that you can both identify.
Practice changing one detail
Imagine your friend is free on Saturday but can’t meet at noon. Keep the day and place, and suggest another time. Try saying the final plan aloud in one sentence so the detail that changed is easy to hear.
